Original, quality late 19th century copper ale Muller of the shape referred to as 'Donkey's Ear.' This example has a tinned interior, a pouring lip and a blacksmith made wrought iron side handle with a super curled over end for hanging. A good dovetailed seam is visible down the length. These were placed in the hot coals of an open fire for warming ale. Has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. Complete and in good and working order. Body 9.5" tall and 5.5" top diam. Wrought iron handle 8.5" x 0.75". Total including handle 13.5".

Rival No.2 Apple Peeler AP14
Original, quality, late 19th century, cast iron mechanical apple peeler. One of the largest models produced and made for the hotel, catering and canning industry. This example is embossed "Rival No.2", "96", "Patented, June 25 1889" and was manufactured and patented in the USA. This hand operated machine would be screwed to a table or bench and will speedily treat an apple with all necessary to peel, spiral cut and remove the core and ultimately ejecting the spiral of apple and core as separate actions, one cut with a knife and the spiral becomes segments. All is complete, fully overhauled, cleaned and lacquered and it has to be seen working to believe how quickly it will process an apple. Base 9.75" x 4.5", 27" shortest, 33" longest, 15.5" tall and 7" widest.

Original, quality late 19th century blue and white jasper dip ceramic circular cheese dish and cover. This superb example has white applied oak leaf and acorn decoration around the rim of the base and the base of the cover. The cover also has a white applied detailed scene of horses, riders, and foxhounds at the kill of a fox, this scene is repeated. The top of the cover has an acorn shaped finial grip with a breathing hole through the centre. This super example has never seen a Stilton cheese before, is unused, and complete and in perfect condition. The underside of the base is impressed "B.P and Co" for the maker Brownhills Pottery and is not Wedgwood as you may think at first glance. Base 12" x 1.75. Top 8.25" x 9" diam. Total 9.5" tall.

The three sided cover has repeated scenes of herons feeding in a lake with trees and foliage in the foreground, all in colour. The handle to the cover is in the form of looped foliage stems. Some very minor crazing, but no chips, cracks or fat stains and complete and in good order. Base 10.25" x 11", total 8" tall.

This larger example, impressed 'No 3', has been repainted in the past, the brass has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. The silver hallmarks are a little rubbed, but there is no question that these items were manufactured pre-1947. The grips are a super colour from use and all is complete and in good and working order. Very suitable for use as intended. Set of 5 Doulton Harvest Jugs J35
Set of five original quality two tone, glazed harvest jugs in graduated sizes, manufactured by Doulton & Co Lambeth and all impressed to the front 'Mr and Mrs Dunn June 11th 1905'. Each jug is two tone with dark glaze to the upper half and buff coloured to the lower and all are decorated with applied reliefs of gents drinking and smoking and of a horse with a rider and hounds chasing a stag. All are complete and the largest and smallest are perfect but the other three do have some damage which does not detract from their appearance. The largest of the three with some damage has a star crack to the front, hardly visible. The second has a chip and short hairline to the top rim and a horizontal hairline to the front and the third has chips to the rim only. All the decoration and the glaze otherwise is perfect, sharp and bright. The underside is impressed with an oval mark detailing 'Doulton & Co Lambeth'. A super set of jugs, great lookers and really in lovely condition considering. Tall 7.25", 6.5", 5.75", 5.25" and 3". Price is for the set.

Baden Powell Copper Kettle K122
Original, quality superb copper kettle, with lid, circa 1900 / 1920. The underside is impressed with the logo for the manufacturer W. Souter and Sons of Birmingham and all is in super condition. Has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. But most of all look at the engraving to the shoulders and the finial to the lid, one side has two union flags, "October 17 1899" and "May 18 1900" and "B.P" for General Baden Powell. The other side is engraved "Mafeking". Baden Powell was successful in relieving the troops held down in "Mafeking", during the campaign wars in South Africa. Baden Powell was later renowned for setting up the Boy Scout Movement. This kettle is the first we have seen and initially I was not sure if the finial to the lid was a later addition but I believe it now to be original. 12" tall x 8" wide and 11.5" front to back including spout.

The copper kettle has a brass lid, handle and spout and is suspended over the brass meths burner from a brass frame, simulating branches. All is fixed onto a circular copper tray engraved with acanthus leaves and flowers which has a pie crust rim and itself is mounted on four brass bun feet. All has been fully overhauled, lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed if required at no extra cost. Complete and in good and working order. The brass meths burner may well be an old replacement of similar age, for although it works, it is a little sloppy fit. 15" high x 10.25" base diameter.

Pair of original, quality, bellied copper saucepans, with pouring lips and blacksmith made wrought iron side handles. These most unusual saucepans have a side seam, a rolled over top rim and a seam to the floor also. The flat wrought iron handles are fixed with copper rivets and both have a brass plaque detailing the registration number for the year 1884. The undersides are stamped "22JM" and "6" to the larger and "52JM" and "2" to the smaller, the 6 and 2 are for the pints capacity. Both these pans have good internal tinning and have been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. They are are complete and in good and working order. The first we have seen of this model. Larger pan base 8.5" diameter, pan 4.5" tall, smaller pan base 6.5" diameter, pan 3.5" tall.

Original, quality, late 19th century, small brass and copper saucepan, at least this is what we think it is? for we have not seen this style before. The pan is deep and the hollow and the tapered handle has a criss cross design, a cap to the end and a triangular support bracket to the pan. The lid has a rather accentuated strap handle. The main body is in copper, tinned to both the inside and outside, the rest is all in brass and the tinning is in mint condition. I suspect this pan has not seen use and all is complete and in good order. Polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. Another very similar pan, the same size but in copper, may well be available reference code SP124. These were both found together. Pan body 4.5" diameter x 3.5" tall, total with handle and lid 11.5" x 6.5" tall.

This tea set is well illustrated in reference works published on Benson & Co. The teapot and milk jug have brass pouring lips and handles and the copper lid of the teapot has a knob turned in cowhorn always associated with Benson. Original, quality Second World War heavy brown glazed ceramic teapot of a squat design with a handle to the front as well as to the rear. This unusual example is detailed to the underside "G VI R" for the reign of King George VI "Bourne & Son Ltd" for the manufacturer and "1943". This would have been issued for use in government offices and the like and perhaps staff quarters in the Royal Households. Complete and in good and working order. 5" tall x 8" wide and 11.5" wide including spout and handle.

Original, quality 1960's cast aluminium tea set comprising coffee pot, teapot, sugar bowl and milk jug with the original matching tray. The teapot, coffee pot and tray all have polished wooden mounts and the tray is in aluminium framed Formica with a wood grain finish. The underside of the four pots are impressed "Picquot Ware J6" and "Made in England" and all is in super condition and ready for use. Tray 17" x 11" x 2". Coffee pot 7.5" tall. Jug 3.5" tall. Sugar bowl 2.25" tall. Teapot 5" tall. Price is for the set.

Original, quality 1920's pierced sheet brass circular teapot stand with four bracket feet and the three-legged logo for the 'Isle of Man '. Originally silver plated but now polished back to the brass. Has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. Complete and in good and working order. Top 5" diam and 6" diam including feet and 0.75" tall.

Copper Samovar TU17
Original, quality early 19th century, fancy copper samovar/tea urn. The cast pink brass side handles are decorated with Acanthus leaf designs, the cast brass tap has a bone finial grip and the lid has a flower shaped finial/grip mounted above the vented area. The urn shaped body is mounted on a slender neck onto a shaped plinth with ribbed corner mounts and four bun feet. The rim on the plinth and the top rim have bands of pink cast brass as has the central body section. The heating bar and assembly to the inside is missing, but all is complete and in good and working order otherwise and has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. A super samovar in super condition. 16" tall and 13" front to back including handle tap. 14.5" wide including and 7" square base at feet.

Original, quality late 18th/early 19th century fancy copper samovar/tea urn, complete with the brass tap with a green stained ivory finnial and the lift out cast iron heating bar. The cast brass side handles are fashioned as eagle heads with a lifting ring through the necks. The oval shaped urn is supported on four flat reeded legs terminating in lions' paw feet and the tops of the legs have a lion's face embellishment. The lid of the urn has a figure of a sphinx as the grip above the vent holes and the base has another but differing sphinx. The front of the urn has a lozenge shaped silver plaque for engraving but not engraved and this has a good clear Georgian hallmark. The urn interior has good tinning and a replacement cast iron heating bar made to suit copied from an original. The exterior is in outstanding unpolished condition with only the odd very minor dent. All is complete and in good and working order. If you did wish to use it and has been fully overhauled. 18" tall and 13" front to back including tap. 13" wide including handle and 9" x 7" stand including feet.

Huge Copper Bedwarmer WP35
Original, quality, mid to late 19th century, extra large, copper bedwarmer of an ovoid form, to be filled with hot water and with a cast brass screw on filler cap and two cast brass loop handles with turned fruitwood grips. The original brass plug is still in place beneath the screw on cap and although there are a few very minor dents, all is in superb condition. This would be filled with hot water and is complete and in good and working order and has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. 31" x 16.5" and 6.5" tall.
