Original, quality 1920's small all copper hand held fire extinguisher with brass and aluminium mounts to the top to take a sparklet syphon bulb. The front is detailed in embossed information for the manufacturer "Read and Campbell Ltd London", and with instructions for use. This is continved on the reverse also with the date of manufacturer '1928'. All has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and is empty but complete otherwise but not suitable for use. A great looker and a good size.14.5" tall and 3.5" diam.

Copper Fire Extinguisher FE31
Original, quality all copper fire extinguisher with good rivets all round, embossed brass labels to the front and cast brass fittings, the top cap, the hose mounts and a handle to the reverse. The labels detail "The Walker Perfection Fire Extinguisher", "made and tested 1939" and 1.25 gallons capacity. All has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and is complete and in good order. 16" tall x 7.5" diam and 10" wide include hose pipe.

Original, quality 1920's / 30's, cylindrical shaped, tin fire extinguisher with the original transfer detail and paintwork. This example, in superb condition, has a hinged ring form, to hook on the wall for easy access and the transfer detail to the case gives the directions for use and the manufacturer's address in Eastbourne. Complete and in good order, but not suitable for use. 19.75" x 3" diameter.

Original, quality 1920's / 30's copper fire hose nozzle (branch) with cast brass fittings and on/off control grip. This example also has a small screw off jet tip. Stamped 5/8 and the manufacturer's details stamped to the top collar above the tapered copper body "Charles Winn and Co Birmingham". All has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and is complete and in good order. 15.5" tall x 3.25" widest.

Original, quality late 19th century oil fired vehicle side lamp for a fire engine. This super example, manufactured by 'Shand and Mason', is totally complete and in good and working order. All has been fully overhauled, the metalwork painted gloss red and the brass mounts polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. The brass label to the top details "Shand Mason and Co Fire Engine makers Upper Ground St Blackfriars Road London" , the two bevelled glass panels are intact and the burner has a locking spring, brass mounts and a slide off reflector. A really good example and complete. 9.75" tall with handle down, 5.5" wide and 5" front to back.

Pair of Merryweather Copper and Brass Fire Engine Oil Lamps FF61
Pair of original, quality late 19th century superb small copper fire engine side lamps, with brass fittings, the original oil reservoirs and burner and large brass makers plates to the top detailing "Merryweather and Sons, Fire Engine Makers Long Acre London" and with the Royal Coat of Arms. The only apparent alteration from all being totally original is that the burners are a little different, one wire ring handle on the oil tank has been replaced, and there is a very minuscule chip to one glass. All has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. Otherwise all is original, in good order and complete and in working order. 8" tall including handle, 3.25" wide and 4.5" front to back including mounting assembly.

These grenades were originally filled with a solution of sodium bicarbonate and the whole grenade was thrown into a small domestic fire to extinguish the flames. This example empty but has retained the waxed and is complete and in good order otherwise. 4" tall and 3" diameter. Price is for each.

Original, quality, late 19th century, blue moulded glass fire grenade, with the top seal intact and the original contents. These grenades were originally filled with a solution of sodium bicarbonate and the whole grenade was thrown into a small domestic fire to extinguish the flames. This example is embossed with the star logo to the front and "Star" and "Hardens Fire Grenade, Fire Extinguisher" and to the underside with the registration number for the year 1884 and has a uneven moulded underside and will only free stand at an angle. A good clean example of this bright blue grenade with one sizeable chip to the top rim otherwise complete and in good order. 6.75" tall x 4.6" diameter.

Pair of original, quality, late 19th century, blue glass fire grenades with the original wire rack to take three grenades. Both bottles are perfect, one is empty and the other is still sealed with most of the original contents and some of the original paper label. These grenades were usually filled with a solution of sodium bicarbonate. The whole grenade was thrown onto a small domestic fire to extinguish the flames. The wire rack was designed to sit on a shelf or hang on a nail on the wall. Not common examples, complete and in good order. Each bottle 7" x 3.25", total 2 bottles in rack 12" x 9.5" x 4.5". Price is for the pair and basket.

This example has an embossed detail of a galleon with buildings to one side and all bordered with swags of waves above the policy number "41881". In super condition with a covering of old paint. The New Bristol Fire Office operated from 1769 to 1840 but was renamed ' Bristol Fire Office' only from 1790. 8" x 6.5" and 0.25".

Original, quality mid to late 19th century pressed copper insurance firemark, recently mounted on an oak backboard made to suit. This super example is in the original green patinated colour but rather thin and frail in places, hence the fresh backboard. A well detailed firemark nevertheless with a sheaf of corn to the centre and swags and banner around. Plaque 10.25" x 8" and backboard 12.5" x 10".

Original, quality, mid to late 19th century, pressed copper firemark, issued by the County Fire Office. This example, in the old patinated finish, although complete, has a few holes and tears, mainly from the old fixing nails, 'The County Fire Office' was in operation from 1807 to 1906 and Britannia was their main logo. 8.25" x 6.25. Other examples of the same model may well be available reference code FM14 and FM15.

Original, quality 1920's, painted tin firemark, with Brittania and a lion above "County", mounted onto a shield shaped oak backboard for wall hanging. This backboard is impressed and gilded to the top "Agency Of" and beneath "Fire, Burglary, Accident, Motors etc". Some surface scratches to the background of the tin plaque, otherwise complete and in good order. Backboard 12" x 15" + 1".

Original, quality, circa 1900, large curved brass nameplate, with deep engraved upper cased text detailing "National Parcels Insurance Company Ltd". There are also four other screw holes where an old plate has been fixed over and two small wear holes, otherwise all is complete and in good order. 17.5" wide at rear x 12" tall + 21" wide on the curve.

Original, quality 1920's/very very clean curved enamel sign with blue upper cased text on white detailing "House purchase, Motor, Fire Burglary, etc. K.G. Gough Mortgage and Insurance Broker, 3 Westfield Drive (off Lincoln Rd)" possibly Skegness. This sign was originally fixed to a stone pillar on the front of a building and has four screw holes for mounting. Complete and in good order. 12" x 8.75" x 2" front to back.
