This super stack of weights although not having spend all their life together are matching with the correct graduation of weights 4lb down to ¼ ounce. Original, quality 1920's green enamelled on brass shop sign letters of a good heavy weight and in super condition, polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. Only those in the pictures are available, but there are two 'S' and two 'O' and if ordering online, please state which ones are required. The second 'O' has a large chip to the enamel but otherwise there are minor blemishes to the enamel on some but generally they are complete and in good order. All 2" tall and 3/8" front to back. This unusual example has an old replacement black composite screw in stopper and is printed to the underside 2pt for the size, two pint capacity. These were filled with hot water. Complete and in good and working order. 7.5" diam and 5.5" tall including stopper.

Large Copper Bovril Urn TU14
Original, quality late 19th century all copper hot water urn in the form of a castle tower with simulated brickwork and a castellated top. This hard to find urn has a brass shield to the front detailing 'Bovril', the beef extract drink, two brass taps with turned ebony handles, two small lids to the top and mounted with three replacement brass ball feet. copied from an original. This example is the largest we have seen and although not marked as such was made by "J and H Banfill Copper Smiths and Urn Makers, Gervase St. Old Kent Road S.E." London. These urns were used on the counter or bar in the pub, café or hotel, to heat up water and pour into a mug or cup of Bovril extract and were stood on a stove or over a gas ring beforehand to boil the water. All has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and is complete and in good and working order. 19"tall, 12" top diam, 13.5" base diam and 15.25" widest including taps.

Original, quality late 19th century all copper hot water urn in the form of a castle tower with simulated brickwork and a castellated top. This hard to find urn has a brass shield to the front detailing 'Bovril', the beef extract drink, a brass tap to the reverse with a turned ebony handle, a lid to the top and mounted with three brass ball feet. A brass maker's plate is fixed to the lower front detailing "J and H Banfill Copper Smiths and Urn Makers, Gervase St. Old Kent Road S.E." London. These urns were used on the counter or bar in the pub, café or hotel, to heat up water and pour into a mug or cup of Bovril extract and were stood on a stove or over a gas ring beforehand to boil the water. All has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. The castellation to the top is replacement, copied from an original and all is now complete and in good and working order. 17.5" tall, 10" top diam, 12.5" base diam and 14.5" widest including tap.

Original, quality late 19th century brass and oak magazine rack with five section dividers on a rectangular shaped, honey coloured oak base=board all "swivel" mounted on three curved legs. The central section doubles up as the carry handle and the underside is detailed for "Hall Birmingham" the manufacturer. The brass has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and all is complete and in good and working order. The best magazine rack we have seen for a while. 34" tall, oak base 14.5" x 9" and 21" diam spread of legs.

Original, quality late 19th century brass and copper floor standing, revolving magazine rack. Stamped to the underside "W.Townsend and Co" for the manufacturer. This super example has a three panelled rack with hammered copper panels to the outsides and the central panel doubling up as the carry grip. The rack has a rectangular shaped oak base, and all is "swivel" mounted on three curved legs, which have replacement brass ball feet fitted. The brass and copper has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and all is complete and in good and working order. 30.5" tall, oak base 14" x 6.25" and 17" diam spread of legs.

Original, quality 1930's small and clean off-white coloured 'Vellum' suitcase. This example has chrome catches and locks with slide over release, dust covers each marked "English Lever" and a good original strap handle. The lined interior has been hand detailed in ink to the inside of the lid "E.B". Some scuffs and marks mainly to the underside but complete and in good and working order otherwise. 16" x 11" x 5.25".

A replacement keep have been made to suit, an old key altered to fit and this lock has the provision for a handle turn and a key lock. Original, quality mid 19th century rectangular shaped flat copper box, perhaps a large tobacco or snuff box. This super example, originally Sheffield plated, has a hinged lid and a rope twist beading all round to the top and bottom of the main box. The top is mounted with a Georgian coin, the underside is impressed silver on copper, and the remains of the Sheffield plate can still be seen to the inside. Polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and complete and in good and working order. 5" x 3.25" x 1.25."
