Miniature Cast Iron Firegrate FG7
Original, quality 1940's/50's, manufacturer's sample or exhibition model of a three piece cast iron fire front and grate, in a good proportioned, scaled down size. The front bars and ash curfew to the front in cast iron are enamelled in a bronzed finish, and the cast iron base grills on four legs has been cleaned and lacquered. A great item, the first we have seen in this style. 5.75" wide, 3.5" tall x 4.25" front to back.

Original, quality 1920's, novelty shaped brass hat pin stand in the form of a mini umbrella stand. This super clean example has four stems above the plinth with a sliding drawer beneath and a brass grill to the top. The padded faded velvet cushion to the base for the points of the hat pins is the original and the brass has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. Probably continental and the first we have seen 5.5" tall x base 5.25" x 2.5".

Original, quality 1920's, ceramic inkwell in the form of a granite curling stone, with a flecked finish and a hinged brass lid with the 'curling stone' handle attached. A realistic scaled down copy of the real thing, complete and in good order. The brass has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. 2.5" diameter x 2.25" tall.

Original, quality late 19th century child's toy laundry iron and stand, both in the old black paint and both in cast iron, with a wrought iron handle to the iron. The body of the iron is embossed with 'VR ' and a crown. A good scaled down example, complete and in good order. Stand 3.5" x 1.5" x 0.25" tall and 2" x 1.25" x 1.5" tall.

This delightful miniature iron is in superb order and has been cleaned and lacquered. Sole 2.75" x 1.75", total 2.25" tall and 3" long.

Original, quality, late 19th century, very small, cast brass goffering iron with a wrought iron neck and circular cast iron base. These were used to iron collars and cuffs, and earlier, used to iron ruffs worn around the neck. Lacking the heating poker, but otherwise all is complete and in good order. Base 2 1/8" diameter and 3.5" high. Price is for each.

Original, quality late 19th century cast iron money box in the detailed form of a hexagonal conservatory heater. This super example, in the original bronzed finish, has two slots to the top for coins, each detailed 'Bank' in upper cased text and embossed decoration to the six panels. Two panels are pierced with a bird design, and the underside has the registration number for the year 1892. Complete and in good and working order. 6.5" tall and base 4" diam.

Original, quality late 19th century brass match holder and striker fashioned as a miniature dairy can. This perfectly scaled down example has the loop handle to the top just as a standard dairy can but with a circular dished interior for the matches and a ribbed underside for striking red tipped matches. All has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and complete and in good and working order. 2.25" tall with handle down. 2.5" wide and 1.75" front to back.

Oak Safe Cabinet Tea Caddy TC21
Original, quality, late 19th century, superb, well proportioned, scaled down oak cabinet in the realistic shape of a minature fireproof safe complete with brass octagonal handles, key hole covers and key. The hinged doors open to reveal one long drawer over two smaller, each with the original brass drop handles. The right hand smaller drawer is lined with silver foil and has a drop in lid, which does point towards this cabinet being a tea caddy. I have only before seen these cabinets fitted out as a smokers' cabinet with pipe racks, tobacco jar and a cigar cutter. The lock has been overhauled and the brass to the outside has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and all is complete and in good and working order. 9.5" tall x 10" wide and 7" front to back.
