Original, quality 1930's / 40's steel door key with a solid end to the grip with a hole for a ring, stamped 'R.A.F' for the Royal Air Force and with the war dept. Arrow Mark. The reverse is stamped '2'. Most unusual, cleaned and waxed and complete and in good order. 4" x 1".

Original, quality 1920's bright steel, unused security lock key with "Hobb and Co London Roof 1" to one side of the top ring grip and "20/= Reward if found" to the other. A great looking key with quirky detail to the grip. Complete and in good and working order. 4.25" x 1.25.

AA Key for Hotel Hospitality Box K105
Original, quality small steel 'AA' key issued pre 1st World War to fit 'AA Hospitality boxes installed at country hotels. These boxes contained towels and brushes etc for the use of members. These small keys with a fretted crossed 'AA' in the head are hard to find. This example is complete and in super condition. 2.25" x 0.75".

AA Members Key for Telephone Boxes M94
Original, quality nickel key to fit the 'AA' Telephone boxes and given to members only from 1919/ 1920. The AA boxes first appeared in 1911 but members only received keys from 1919. The keys used in 1920 were so dated and continued to be issued in this shape until 1921. This clean example has the fretted double "A" and "Property of the automobile association", "1920", to one side and "Shermays Ltd, Cheapside London EC2" to the other and "H and T.V." for the maker of the key, H and T Vaughan of Willdenhall. This example is the first we have seen of this model. Polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and complete and in good and working order. 2.75" x 1.25".

Wrought Iron Padlock and Key PL46
Original, quality late 19th century wrought iron medium sized padlock with a brass keyhole surround with a swinging cover and the original key. The key cover is detailed "Improved Tumbler Lock". All has been cleaned and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. All is complete and in good and working order. Padlock 4" x 2.75" and 1" front to back. Key 2.25" x 1".

Original, quality 1920s small brass padlock with the original steel key and a brass hasp. This tiny example is ideal for a small tin hat box or a dog collar. Original, quality, small cast brass padlock, circa 1900, with a steel hasp, a swinging keyhole cover and a wrought iron key. This example has two stars and "Secure" stamped to the front and a flower motif on the keyhole cover. Polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and complete and in good and working order. Ideal for dog collars or hat boxes. Padlock 1.75" x 1.5" and 0.25", key 1" long.

Brass Customs Padlock with Key PL34
Original, quality, late 19th century, heavy cast brass padlock for Customs use. The main body is impressed for the manufacturer "Walsall Locks of Birmingham" and the front sealing cover is impressed "C and E" with a crown between and the sliding cover to the keyhole is stamped "C383". This padlock needs to be locked before the sealing cover can be closed over and likewise the padlock can be unlocked with the key, but the key needs to be removed to gain entry to behind the sealing cover. This padlock was manufactured for use by Customs officals to insert a recorded ticket behind the sealing cover. A most unusual padlock and the first we have seen. A replacement nickel key has been made to fit, all is now complete and in good and working order and has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. 3.75" x 2 and 1" front to back.
