Original, quality late 19th century cast iron door porter / doorstop in the very detailed form of two stylised entwining fish on a base of seashells with a ring handgrip to the top also decorated with shells. The reverse is impressed with '370' in script for the model number. This example is illustrated in the 1876 Catalogue for A Kenrick and Sons of West Bromwich but the model number is referred to as '470'. All has been cleaned and lacquered and is complete and in good and working order. 14.5" x 8" wide at base and 3" front to back at base.

Original, quality pair of late 19th century cast iron door porters, with 'D' shaped bases, acanthus leaf decoration and ribbon folded loop grips to the tops. The reverse of one is impressed '466' for the model number and all has been cleaned and lacquered and are complete and in good and working order. Although not marked for the manufacturer A Kenrick and Son of West Bromwich, model 466 in their catalogue of 1876 is identical. 7.75" tall x 5" wide at base and 2.5" front to back.

Original, quality pair of late 19th century cast iron door porters, with 'D' shaped bases, acanthus leaf shoulders and rope twisted loop grips to the tops. The reverse is impressed '462' for the model and "AK and Sons" for the manufacturer A Kenrick and Sons of West Bromwich. All has been cleaned and lacquered and are complete and in good and working order. 7" tall x 5" wide at base and 2.5" front to back.

Pair of Brass Lincoln Imps Door Porters DP81
Pair of original, quality late 19th century cast brass door porters with semi circular bases and plinths with a detailed figure of the 'Lincoln Imp' sat upon the upright stem. The bases are infilled with lead, the brass polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost and all is complete and in good and working order. These are first of these porters we have seen. 12.5" tall, 4.75" widest base and 2.25" front to back.

Original, quality late 19th century cast brass door porter with a cast iron weight to the reverse. This shaped example has a half section bulbous body on a plinth with a ring handle to the top. The cast iron weight inset to the reverse is impressed "T5757" for the model and impressed with the sun logo and "WT&S" for the manufacturer 'William Tonks & Son, of Birmingham'. All has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer may be removed at no extra cost. Complete and in good and working order. 11.5" tall and base 4.5" wide x 2.25" front to back.

Bonnie Prince Charlie Cast Iron Door Porter DP78
Oirginal, quality, late 19th century larger than average cast iron door porter or Mantle Ornament. This detailed heavy door stop in deep rellief, depicts the Prince in full Kilt dress, a hat with a cockade and a staff on his arm. Consistantly pitted overall, but in good order otherwise and heavier than normal. 13" tall 12.5" widest base and 3" front to back at base.

This example has a base of acanthus leaf forms, an upright stem with a shaped ring handgrip to the top, with a scallop design within. Original, quality, late 19th century, cast brass door porter with a cast iron weighted base. This example has a detailed figure of cupid to the top, part standing on a stack of books and with a bow to one side. The halo above its head serves as a loop hand grip. An unusual example, the first we have seen. Has been polished and lacquered, although the lacquer can be removed if required, at no extra cost. Complete and in good order. 17.25" tall, 6" wide at base and 3.5" front to back.

The underside is embossed with a registered lozenge mark for the year 1882. All has been cleaned and lacquered and is complete and is superb order. Base 6" x 3" x 4.5" total height.
